ADHD
ADHD is a common disorder most often diagnosed in childhood, which can last into adulthood. Symptoms include:
- Difficulty paying attention, staying on task, or being organized.
- Hyperactivity, such as often moving around (including during inappropriate times), feeling restless, or talking excessively.
- Impulsivity, such as interrupting, acting without thinking about consequences, intruding, or being unable to wait one’s turn.
- While it’s common for people to exhibit this behavior sometimes, people with ADHD display this behavior frequently and across different settings, such as school, work, and at home.
Treatment can involve a combination of behavior therapy and medication.
